I'm sure most of you have seen this, but

The trailer to Where the Wild Things Are damn near just made me cry.

I want to see it SO BADLY. It made me cry, too.

I will wait to get it illegally so that I can weep at what will no doubt be a heart-wrenching finale in the privacy of my apartment.

I grew up hating the kid in WTWTA. Max, I think. He was so rude to his parents and I was like "Man, they made you dinner, why be such a douche?"

When I was a kid, I didn't take crap from other (fictional) kids.

Max has got issues, yo. Doesn't mean he don't got a heart of gold. Besides, all kids go through days in which nothing in good enough and they've sticks up their bums. Hell, I STILL get days like that.

Plus it seems they really elaborate on those 'issues' in the movie (they'd have to, the book wasn't exactly long enough for a movie unto itself), so perhaps he will accordingly be a more sympathetic character to you.

I'm sure if I even reread it, I'll agree with you. And I'm totally seeing the movie.

I think it was because, at the time, he was my peer, so I had that "Hey, this isn't fair!" feeling. It's the same feeling I have now whenever I see a commercial for the Hills and realize that these horrible, empty people have more money than I will ever see.

Oh, goodness, am I looking forward to this!

Also, to Fast & Furious (not to be mistaken with the original, The Fast & the Furious), but nevermind that...

Edited for grammatical stupidity.

Why on Earth would they create a sequel that has the same title as the original, sans the definite article???

*shrugs*
Really, I don't care what the heck they write on the posters, in my mind, it's titled "sexy people vroom around in sexy cars & make things go boom"

Tell me about this. The whole movie, too, if I could manage it. (Maybe I will settle for hugging my laptop gingerly after the fact.)
